I get an error on my Android device when syncing. It says "Unable to resolve host “”: No address associated with hostname".

You are trying to sync Handheld Contact on the Android device and receive the following error message:


"Syncing finished with error: Unable to resolve host “”: No address associated with hostname"


This error message means that you have some type of connection error on the device.  You are unable to connect with the Handheld Contact servers.  Your mobile internet connection or Wi-Fi may not be working as expected.  Try browsing to random sites that would not be in the cache and also confirm the connection.


Once the internet issues are resolved, go to Handheld Contact, open the Menu, select 'Sign Out of Handheld Contact'.  This will close the app.  When you re-open the app, ensure the Username (email address) and Password are entered properly.  Press 'Sign In'.  When this succeeds, go back to the Contact List, open the HHC Menu and choose 'Sync Now'.
