How do you use Keyword Search with Handheld Contact?

The ability to search the Handheld Contact database on the device for specific word(s) was added with the 'Keyword Search' feature.  Please see the directions below for the required operating system:


iOS (iPhone/iPad):
  1. Open the Handheld Contact application on the device.
  2. From the Home view, 'Keyword search' is located above the 'Contacts' and 'Calendar' options.
  3. Tapping on the field will allow characters/words to be entered.
  4. The same characters/words entered into this field will be searched when you press the magnifying glass icon.
  5. Handheld Contact will search all contacts, activities, notes, history, opportunities, and secondary contact fields.
  6. The 'Keyword Search' screen will appear with the 'All' tab highlighted.  At the bottom of the screen will be a report of how many instances this string was found in the device database.
  7. You can parse through each tab by scrolling left/right.
  8. Selecting one of the results will take you to the specific Contact, Activity, Note, History, Opportunity or Secondary Contact.


Android:
  1. Open the Handheld Contact application on the device.
