"Unauthorized" message displayed when attempting to sync

This message means that you have entered the wrong Handheld Contact username and/or password. 

To correct this:

  1. Open the Handheld Contact computer application (usually found on the same PC, server, or laptop as the ACT! database). 
  2. Click on the HHC Username in the upper left corner.  It's an e-mail address and appears as a clickable link. 
  3. A window will open. Update the username and/or password.
  4. Click "Test Login"
  5. The test login is successful when a green check mark appears. Click "OK" to save your changes.

If you happen to see the message “addUserInfoSyncDisplay Table: Column 'ID' is constrained to be unique. Value 'ACCOUNT NAME' is already present”, please follow these instructions to resolve it.

If you do not know the password for Handheld Contact then it may need to be reset.  To reset the Handheld Contact password, please click here.
