Notes/History did not sync to my device. What can I do to get it working?

If you have an account with Handheld Contact and you set up your phone but you are unable to find the Notes/History for the customers, then you may not have synced it from Act!.


To correct this, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Handheld Contact on the PC/server.
  2. Select the user who is going to have the changes made to their account.
  3. On the left, click on "Notes/History Info".  Choose Change.
  4. In the window that appears, ensure that the 'Synchronize note/history' box is checked for syncing. 
  5. Next select the number of most recent Notes and History you would like to see. 
  6. Finally select the different types of History that you wish to see.
  7. Press OK when finished.


UPDATE:  In Handheld Contact version, changes have been implemented to allow for up to 20 Notes and History combined.   Therefore, customers have more control and will be able to define how many of the most recent Notes and/or History they want to see.  However, a limit of '20 most recent' is in effect.  This means that you can select to sync '15 most recent' Notes but that only will allow for '5 most recent' History to be selected.  Another example is '10 most recent' Notes and '10 most recent' History would be a total of '20 most recent items' to synchronize.  If you have further questions, please Contact Support.
