How do I sync other ACT! users Calendar to my device?

If you are a multiple user Act! database and looking to sync other Act! users Calendar to a single device, here are the steps needed:

 

  1. Open the Handheld Contact computer application.

  2. Select the Handheld Contact user from the list on the right.
  3. Click on the ‘Activities Info’ option along the left.  Then click on 'Change'. 

  4. In the window that appears, click on the ‘Advanced’ button.

  5. A new window will open.  You will see the other Act! users listed. Check the boxes of the additional users you wish to sync with.  Press OK to save.

  6. When back on the 'User Wizard' screen for 'Activities Info', press OK again to save all changes.

  7. Repeat above steps 2-6 for additional Handheld Contact users.
  8. Once this is completed, click on 'Maintenance' along the top menu bar and choose ‘Synchronize Users’, select all modified accounts and press ‘Sync Now’.

  9. This will synchronize the other user's activities from Act! to each account.

  10. When all syncing on the PC has completed, the final step will be to sync Handheld Contact on the device(s).

 

 

On the device, you will need to ensure that the other user's Calendar is available for viewing.  See below:

 

For an iPhone/iPad device:  Open Handheld Contact and from the Dashbboard view, open the Menu and tap on the 'Settings' option.  Choose 'Calendar'.  Scroll downwards to the 'SELECT USER' section and ensure that this option is set to 'All Users'.

For an Android device:  Open Handheld Contact and move to the Calendar (or Task List) view.  Open the Menu (top right 3 dots) and choose 'Calendars to show'.  Ensure that all users needed are checked ON.  Press back to save changes.
