This article will explain the 'Tagging' feature that has been applied to Handheld Contact in recent updates.  'Tagging' is used to select certain contacts to perform a similar task such as Email, SMS or Map.  See below for specific platform directions.

iOS - iPhone and iPad devices:
  1. Open Handheld Contact on the iOS device.
  2. From the Home view, choose Contacts.
  3. In the top menu banner, press the lightning bolt icon.
  4. Under the Options section, choose Tag.
  5. The Contact list will open to all contacts.  Place a checkmark beside the required contact(s).  You can find contacts by using the Search tool, scrolling or the alphabet options on the right.
  6. The Selection header at top of the contact list will show all selected records.
  7. Press the lightning bolt icon again.
  8. Under Options section there will be new selections:
    1. Look up tagged:  Will take the selected contacts and only look up those contacts on the Contact list.
    2. Clear Tag:  All selected contacts will have the selection removed.  This is where you exit the Tagging mode in order to return to 'All Contacts'.
    3. Email Lookup:  Handheld Contact will prepare an email with the selected contacts that have the 'Email' field populated.  Addresses will be applied in the 'To' field.
    4. SMS Lookup:  A SMS (text) message will be generated to the selected contacts.
    5. Map Lookup:  All contacts with a Work address will have their address pinned to a map.  (Ensure that Location Services are enabled.  Found under iOS Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services)

Android devices:
  1. Open Handheld Contact on the Android device.
  2. From the Home view, choose Contacts.
  3. In the top menu banner, press the tag icon.  This will enable Tag Mode.
  4. The contact list will appear.  Place a check mark in the box beside the required contact(s).  You can find contacts by using the Search tool, scrolling or the alphabet options on the right.
  5. Press the lightning bolt icon.  A list of options will appear:
    1. Lookup tagged:  Will take the selected contacts and only display those contacts in a custom lookup.
    2. Clear tagged:  All selected contacts will have the selection removed.
    3. Email tagged:  A 'Prepare email' screen will appear where all selected contacts (with an email address) will be applied to the 'Bcc' field.
    4. SMS tagged:  A 'Prepare text message' screen will appear with mobile phone numbers of selected contacts attached.
    5. Map tagged:  Handheld Contact will open a map and pin each of the selected contacts with a 'Business address' attached.
  6. In order to exit the Tag Mode press the CANCEL TAG MODE link.  This is found under the lightning bolt icon.
