How do I add Qsales fields into Handheld Contact?

If you are a Qsales customer and looking to add the seven (7) additional fields for mapping, this article will explain the steps needed.

Here is our blog post in regards to the Qsales update: Handheld Contact now includes vital accounting data

 

Handheld Contact Classic:

Handheld Contact Console (desktop application):

  1. Upgrade to the latest version on the PC/server.  Click here to download version 4.3.1.0
  2. Open the Handheld Contact Console.  Select the user needed.
  3. Along the left menu, scroll down and expand 'Field Mapping Info'.  Choose Change.
  4. In the pop up that appears, check the box at the very top for 'Map Qsales fields'.
  5. A pop up will appear to indicate that changing mapping will require a resend of data.  Press OK.
  6. Scroll down to lines 67-73, ensure that the fields are displayed.  If the Act! Field reads '(Do not map)', the fields were not added.  Repeat Step 4 again.
  7. Press OK to save.
  8. Press 'Sync Now' to begin synchronization.

iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Upgrade Handheld Contact Classic on iOS to version 8.7.0 on the Apple App Store.
  2. Open Handheld Contact Classic on the iOS device.
  3. As long as the above console steps are completed in advance there will be a new download waiting.
  4. Synchronize the iOS device with the Handheld Contact servers to download all data and the new mapped fields.

Android:

  1. Upgrade Handheld Contact Classic on the Android to version 3.1.19.0 on the Google Play Store.
  2. Open Handheld Contact Classic on the Android device.
  3. As long as the above console steps are completed in advance, there will  be a new download waiting.
  4. Synchronize the Android device with the Handheld Contact servers to download all data and the new mapped fields.

 

Handheld Contact API:

iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Upgrade Handheld Contact API on the iOS to version 1.3.0 on the Apple App Store.
  2. Open Handheld Contact on the iOS device.
  3. From the Menu, choose 'Settings'.
  4. Select 'Act! Setting'.  On pop up, choose Continue.
  5. Tap on 'Contact Field Mapping'.
  6. At the top, first tap on 'Refresh' to populate the fields.  Then toggle the option for Qsales fields to ON.
  7. Press Back.  Then back to Settings, then to Dashboard.
  8. Open Menu and choose 'Synchronization'.  Tap on 3-dots in top right corner.
  9. Choose 'Download all' button to being the synchronization process.
  10. Once the synchronization is completed successfully then the fields will be mapped to each contact.

Android:

  1. Upgrade Handheld Contact API on the Android to version 1.1.2.0 on the Google Play Store.
  2. Open Handheld Contact on the Android device.
  3. From the Menu, choose 'Settings'.
  4. Tap on 'General', then 'Contact field mapping'.
  5. Along the top, check the box for 'Map Qsales fields'.
  6. Choose 'Save' button.  Pop up message will appear asking to save changes and perform download all data.  Choose 'Yes' to save changes.
  7. Navigate back to the Dashboard.
  8. Open the Menu and choose 'Sync status'.  Tap on 3-dots icon in top right corner.
  9. Select 'Download all data'.
  10. Once the synchronization is completed successfully then the fields will be mapped to each contact.
