Making changes to Handheld Contact subscriptions

This article is needed if you have purchased from Handheld Contact directly, have ownership of the subscription keys and need to make changes to usernames/subscriptions.

 

If you have purchased a subscription and it is applied to an incorrect account/username, please see below:

 

  1. If you already have ‘Unassigned subscriptions’ available in your listing, do not proceed and contact ‘service@handheldcontact.com’ for further instructions.

  2. Find the required user to change and click ‘Unassign subscription’ to remove the key from your Handheld Contact account.

  3. This will move the subscription to a new section called ‘Subscriptions available for use’. Two links will be listed. They are ‘Assign to user’ and ‘Use with your account’.

  4. Click ‘Assign to user’.

  5. A page will come up asking you to type in an email address. Type in the email address you want for the new user. This will be their Handheld Contact Username.

  6. If this HHC Username does not already exist, you will be directed to a page where you will fill out all the user information to create the account. If the Handheld Contact Username exists, you will jump to Step 8 below.

  7. Click ‘Next Step’.

  8. You will be directed to a page that asks if you wish to assign the key to the new user, click ‘Next Step’.

  9. Click ‘Done’.

  10. You will be directed back to the ‘Manage Subscriptions’ page and will see that the subscription has been assigned to the new user.

 

 

NOTE: Once you have created/re-assigned the subscription for a new user, you will need to visit www.handheldcontact.com/setup and follow the steps for ‘adding a new user’.  If you have any questions regarding the above steps, please contact ‘service@handheldcontact.com’ for assistance.
