How do you enable log file troubleshooting with Handheld Contact?

Due to recent General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) changes with Handheld Contact, log files are no longer reserved for troubleshooting purposes.  This can be changed on a per user/account basis if needed.

If requested by Handheld Contact Support Technicians or if you want to allow this to be enabled for troubleshooting, please follow these directions:

  1. Open the Handheld Contact website.
  2. Login as your HHC username (email address).  This can also be completed directly from here.
  3. Once logged in, you will start on the 'Summary' screen.
  4. Click on 'Edit Account' link along the left side.
  5. Update all required fields as necessary.
  6. Change 'Store log file for up to 30-days on HHC server? (used for troubleshooting only)' from No to Yes.
  7. When finished, click the 'Update account information' button.
  8. From this point moving forward, log files will be retained for up to 30 days.
  9. Synchronize Handheld Contact on both the PC/server as well as the device side.

Note:  Making this change is not permanent.  Switching back to 'No' can be done at anytime.
